Afraid of sounding a noob but I was just wondering, why the black pawn didn't convert itself to Queen?

what black pawn?
If you pay attention its a continuesly check situation with the knight untill the king can move into position for mate. Black never has 2 consecutive moves with the pawns.
And even if he did, neither of the lanes are in a position to directly threat the white king.
