Don't be rattled under fire. Make deliberate moves precisely.

Use a handgun that fits your hand right or left (do not neglect the weak hand for practice) and be absolutely deliberate under fire. Speed can kill you to miss. Slower is better with precision in a gun fight.

But chess is a game of Toys above all toys. Until you are in a battle toys become meaningless. Your life is on the line to draw with a hand to be precise. The fastest gun in the west ended up dead. The deliberate drawer of the gun was not rattled under the fear of a fast draw. He just knew how to draw with precision and hit the target to fix and kill it.
That is what the IN does (Infantry).
That is why the US Army is the best in the entire world.
And our Soldiers are over there being shot by the very trusted trainees we dedicated our selves and families to over seas.

If I was in charge I'd withdraw and just send in the nuclear weapons to quell those dedicated to the Taliban or extremists either to make them gain or harbor cowards and terrorism.
I am not in charge over there and never could be. I never wore a weapon. I served the enemy hostiles over there because I cared about them after my Soldiers.
We are in a world of hostility and need to cross borders of understanding.
Chess crosses all over every world and brings people together to be together.
Chess is NOT a Dangerous Toy Game.
Chess is the most complicated game in the entire world and it brings people across all lines and nations to join on a common table to be comrades.
To feel closer to each other.

It is a "game" that relaxes hostility or hostilities. It is a place and time to respect the opponent no matter where or what or who the opponent is.

I lived in a Seminary with a ROK (Republic of Korea) Vietnam Soldier and we would play chess together eating oranges (slices) and Kimchi cabbage and rice from Korea. He was a Vietnam Soldier in Korea who was taken prisoner by the Viet Kong. His feet were broken and beaten into pulp.
I have so many things to say about Steve Lee. He went into the Ministry at San Francisco Theological Seminary on 1 Kensington Rd in San Anselmo with me. We learned Soren Kierkegaard, Greek, Hebrew, Aramaic, Systematic Theology, Ethics, Psychology, Counseling, Homelitics, Preaching, Translating (the Old and New Testament in the original languages), Ancient Cultures back to the hunting and gathering societies way before all of us.

A ROK Soldier in the Vietnam War was always able to be counted upon.
To date we have an Armistice with North Korea while occupying South Korea.

Take care of your allies in War. Or get run over by miscreants building bombs to blow children up.
