Beautiful Knight
Gotta love a knight in its full glory, leaping around its enemy and "discovering" checks with its army.

what if r-h6 threatening nxe6 followed a move or two later by r-h8?
I tried the alternate solution and it goes in circles but has not shown me a defense yet.

bobandyo,
The defense to Rh6 is d6, threatening the bishop. It can't move forward to f6 because of the knight, and it can't retreat down to c3, b2, or a1 without e5 closing off the diagonal, after which there's no mate with Rh8.
