Message: I don't know draughts.
But bridge is just as complex and wonderful a game as bridge. Trying to work out a difficult endgame win is so hard, it seems nothing could be harder. But trying to execute a double-squeeze in bridge - that's really hard too.
Maybe the biggest difference is that chess you're all on your own - in bridge you have to communicate with a partner.
I don't know which is the finer game. Why should it be necessary to figure that our?
But I do know-
There are very few great chess players that are also good at bridge. On the other hand, there are many great chess players that are exceptionally skilled at Poker.

Sure, there is luck involved, but over periods of time top players always seem to rise to the top - there is skill and pute guts involved too.
Chess used to be my fave game until I was about 24, then poker took over! Poker is far more sociable too!
