I think 2 weeks ago I went to yahoo/chess/social and got outplayed in a rather humiliating way. " 2 losses in a row where my opponent used an opening I was sure to punish, the time was "no limit" but we played kinda fast anyway. Im white. e4e5, d4 f5?!, I was a little drunk but I thought like this: Well im gonna x his f-pawn and after that it will work fine with my queen on the h5-e8 diagonal. He played qe7 I played qh5+, I was happy to check him with my queen and he had to give up his castle(playing kd8) and Im 1 pawn up with his king stuck in the center. He only has the n -tempo (playing nf6 with tempo) for my queen out early and I must win.. I thought I lost 2 games in a row!! He was only rated 1500 something..that hurt! ( he played in a very harmonious way after this and i couldnt find any punishing ideas! ;( . Have u gotten beaten in a bad way lately pls post here, and I would be happy to read any analyze on this game.. maybe it isnt so easy to punsih blacks game??

Don't try to punish.I've tried and you usually fail.Play normally and develop quickly.Then,once you figure you have enough pieces in the battle,smash him into smitherings!

on yahoo I go there by playing solid moves and not "going after" or trying to "punish" them for example most people there arent familiar with the KIA I can play that and get into a good endgame wich i usually win. but what i dont get is why i beat 17-2100s pretty easilly but 14-1600s give me as much trouble as a 2200? you got any idea why that is?
