Message: I borrowed a classic "The Art Of The Middlegame" by Kotov & Keres from local library. As I recall it had an excellent chapter on castling to opposite sides.

Message: ...is The Art of Attack in Chess,by Vukovic. It deals with attacking formations,depending on how,or if, each side castles.

Message: There is a great book called "Castling to Win" by Robert Timmer, which deals with the subject. Not required reading, but interesting.
