I meant was, it would have been nice if it could have been open for players from all over the world, regardless of which membership they have. Off course one could always pay the membership fee to the USCF, but I'm not sure how much relevances that have, for people outside the USA.
However I'm sure this will be a great event for many chessplayers!

It seems strange that it is an only USCF
event since Chessbase is a German company.
I deal with Chessbase here in the US. It
is called Chessbaseusa but the parent
company is somewhere in Germany. I would
think that if it were a Chessbase event it
would be open to all national organizations
just as say the ICCF. Chuck
