hitchhikers guide to the galaxy well represents the quasiphilosophers great world. In fact that's one of the ugliest books I have ever read- maybe interesting for a 10 year old but disgusting for people who actually can think for themselves,,,,,

Yes I know that but I more experienced it as an ego boost from the writer trying to stun unbelievably unknowing and dumb audience.
Nowadays I like to make jokes about it, when people acting smart- but far back I was just angry for the time spent.

o.k. there were two or three (maybe more) really funny (not necessarily deep) concepts in there: one very appropriate to this and similar threads - the glasses that went black whenever danger was around, so you wouldn't see it and it couldn't hurt you... lol!! :)
