Subject: Excuses, Excuses!!
Message: Why do people always feel they have to justify their loses, why not just accept they were out played. I played the best player at my chess club, who is probably rated at 2000+, it was a tough game and I was continually under pressure, but he underestimated my ability and took to many risks and eventually I won.
He acted like he had won from the start and made comments like he was just assessing how good I was so he could work out what he could get away with.
At the end of the game he blamed all sorts of things including the board, the pieces, he even said he had a win earlier in the game but missed it (I couldn't see it). Why couldn't he just admit he lost fair and square. Ive now beaten both top players and have a record of 14 wins, 4 loses.
