Subject: More pionts for a black win???

Message:
A question that may have been asked be for.

Shouldn't a win with black be worth more points than a win with white.

no, chess is a draw

Message:
If either player wins, then they simply outplayed the other, having a one-move initiative is nice but it doesn't give white an easy game.

Actually, statistically it was researched that (among equal-strength opponents) white will score about 54-55%, so the advantage of playing white is slight, but undeniable.

But it would be too much of a hassle to research exactly how much points should this advantage be worth. So all rating systems just assume that things will even out in the end (since you play half your games with white and half with black) and give the same amount of points for a win with either color.
