Subject: Preferences
Message: i think players should be alloewd to set their max team games on zero.
sometimes players retire for a few months or even a year, but would still like to be part of the team.
we for example have right now 5 "inactive" players on the team. just to avoid any mistakes (we all are only humans) it would be nice if those players could set in their preferences a zero instead of a two as the lowest number.
it's just a small but segnificant change and should be easy to implement.
this time please no "i don't need that, so i don't want that and i can't see why others should have it" answers; try to put yourself into the same situation: you love your team..., you don't want to time out..., you can't set your vacation flag for long enough and you don't want to leave the team because you are proud of it.

Message: I have already suggested this to Mike. He wrote me that it was technically not very easy, although he understood the need for it. He was going to think about it. It might not be bad if someone else also would indicate his need for this.

Message: Captains have to be smart enough to know who wants zero games.

Message: Before the feature was in use, I kept lists of people who wanted to play. Now that is not necessary anymore, as the site shows who is available and who is not. The only thing is that the information is not (fully) correct. Now I still have to keep track of people who want to take a break for some period etc. As information is stored in two places (the site) and a list/memory, errors will occur (eventually).
I have - like kai_sim - several people who want to remain Dutchable for a while, but not to play games. As our team is more than just playing games on the Internet, I understand that, and like that to be supported.
