 Subject: WHO IS YOUR NEMISIS

I started this thread months back and it went well. We have a good bit of new players now and i thought we could get this going again. Just wondering if you have a certain player that you love to play but hate to lose against. usually someone in your rateing range but i guess doesnt have to be. I would have to say mine would be flyerguy hes a good guy also a team mate. we have had lots of good battles and its usually very close games. He has a slight edge on me at the moment but im a better player so it wont last long ;) anyone else have a nemisis??

......is blackbaron. We have played a lot of games in the last six months or so, and our styles are extremely similar. Besides being a heck of a guy with a great sense of humor, he is also a very solid chessplayer who has the ability to rip you apart should you make even the slightest error. Every time I log in and see that his little green light is lit, his game gets my total attention no matter how many other games in progress I have. blackbaron is truly a class act and has become a great chess friend.

I have a couple of them. Walesash, I think that I got his name right, is a tough player. Yes I agree Blackbaron, he is a very tough player. I have had the honor to play him several times and they have all been close games until I mess up the position. He is a very unforgiving player. I like the games that we have played and will continue playing him.

... My newest Nemesis I would have to say is chesshub. I dont know if it is his style of play compared to mine or what but I cant get an advantage over him if my life depended on it!! He is a very solid player.

live it down either! What a self-promoting, little snot-nose he is! =)
More frustrating than any loss is dykker's uncanny ability to snatch away my certain

no you didn't misspell nemesis! I was referring to myself misspelling my nemesis. I think that I will add you to the list too. You have given me a good game or two in the past. I guess my biggest nemesis is BODDAH!!, all though I have beaten him in every encounter he is in my opinion the slowest chess player here on the site. I know that I have mentioned this before and was told that he would prolly time out well they are wrong. He moved just about when the time was about to expire. He does look in on the games and does watch the time close. The thing about him is that he has annoyed a tremendous amount of people here on the site. I know that the time limit is his to use but for the love of god resign a lost game when all is lost!! This is the annoying part. I have asked him a couple of times, politely to resign but he just refuses and tells me that he will give me a lesson in patience. Well of sick of the MT that started at the beginning of this year and he has no reason or cause to drag out a totally lost game. Is there not something that can be done. All I can say is "GIMME A BREAK!!"

with this forum and the postings so far I wonder who else has had the problems with Boddah as well. I had a personal reply from a member with the same complaint as myself. I won't say who it is .......................... but would like to know who else has had the frustrating experience of playing against Boddah? I want to start another M/T and don't want him participating in it because I think that he will purposely use his time to the max. I want to start tournaments but I also don't want a bunch of unhappy players' in it. The last one that I started stated that I wanted fast players and to resign when the situation is hopeless. Boddah has failed on both counts. He is a paying member sure but come on use your grey matter in those games, give it up and don't vengeful in your next game by teaching someone some patience. That is just ignorant on your part!!

I played him along time back - & won't now. It's because he is also Sarmale and despite being instructed by Mike many times he still refuses to accept that having two accounts with enormous diiferences in ratings is unethical and deceitful to his opponents. As Kumpan he has a rating of about 2150, as Sarmale he is in the 1500s! Now that is a true nemesis, it irritates me that this sort of unethical behaviour continues to be tolerated and is even championed by his friends who think it is just fine.

.bgscot and backbone , you must type in some keyboard character such as a Period or Space key ,before you type id= if you want someones Nik or a board # to appear as the very first word of your posting msg. After that, even at the beginning a a new paragraph, it is not needed to add any character before it. But that is why your Nik's of abc7 and queendom did not appear in highlite. And so I added them for you here, for others to click on. (and my topicallity)
Another tip on adding Links to Forum is, you may verify that a Link is going to appear properly for you by clicking the "Preview" function since it will show your Link in Highlite then if it is properly entered. Regards, Craig
