Subject: old subscribers and new subscribers
Message: I did not renew my subscribtion (30$ per year) so I became nonsubscriber. I just got a message that there is a special offer to new subscribers, 20$ per year. So if I subscribe now, I save money. Funny, isn't it?

Message: It really get me goad... I wrote about it earlier...
The worst part is not that the new members are getting a good deal, but that old members
aren't allowed to also get the deal!

Message: I think that maybe if you asked for that new subscription
you may get it and the time added to your
present subscription.
Why don't you write Mike and ask?

Message:
I think the aim of the promotion was to attract non-subscribers to becoming new subscribers. It worked because I became a subscriber :)

1/08/2005 00:27:18 [ report this post ] | this is not the way bussiness works
Message: you agreed (i did also) to become a member at a certain price. the deal is done. maybe someday mike will offer a different deal to the older members. if a car dealer sells you a car then later on offers rebates to new customers its only to drum up new bussiness. this doesnt mean he has done anything wrong to the people who bought cars before. to run a bussiness you simply cannot give back money to each and every person who didnt get in on the latest deal. basically thats what mike would be doing. just my opinion.

1/08/2005 08:05:14 [ report this post ] | No problem with what I spent...
Message: astinkyfart, I agree... that's not my problem. My problem is that I can't go to the
dealership and buy another car at the new rates. Even if I were to loose the remaining time on
my paid membership, it would be cheaper for me to re-subscribe under the new rates, BUT
since I'm already a paying member I'm not offered the better rates. It's not that we were
screwed, it's that were being screwed.
