The new preview icon in your game list is pretty cool. Have not been playing a lot lately and just noticed it now, it's a new feature right? Can become very handy when you have many ongoing games. Once again, good job Gameknot!

Maybe a slight improvement, in comparison with the old version (wins/losses/draws if I remember correctly). But I'd rather see the amount of finished games in the past 90 days than the amount of finished games since joining. Maybe that would be a bit better?!

I noticed that 2 days ago and I thought there was something wrong with my screen.
Did not know that they were snapshots of my boards!!!!
Now I dont have to wait for the actual page to review my games.
Way to go, Mike ....

I like the preview boards a lot. I'm not sure why, since it is not so much trouble to just load the game board and look at it there. But one thing would be that now I can be reviewing the preview board and have easy access to knowing how many minutes I have left to move in the game, without going back and forth between the actual game board and the Active Games page repeatedly to verify time. Will be able to do that just by a reload click or PF-5 key.

rt4sm -- I think so too! ...that it is always so Well-done when changes are made at GK. So often being done with out having experienced any loss of service from the changes made. Or if any down-time is needed for the site, it seems always to be a matter of Minutes, rather than Hour(s) ... as some sites seem to require. Amazing ...

I also notice that you can check out others' active games (e.g. your buddies'). Only thing is that from the board, you don't know who is who, but that doesn't matter much.
Thanks for pointing it out (I noticed there had been a change in format, but didn't spot its significance.

Actually, you can tell. If the person whose profile you are viewing is white in that game, then the bottom of the board will be the 1st rank (ie from white's point of view), whereas if he is black in that game, the bottom of the board will be the 8th rank (ie from black's point of view).
If you look at a minitournament crosstable, you can check out each game twice -- once in the row of each player. You'll notice that the board flips around. And in case it's late enough in the game where you can't tell who is moving which way down the board, there are numbers running along the side that tell you.
