Subject: No. postponement days unknown

Message:
Can you ask for a minimum number of definite days plus a extra possible days?

e.g. say your computer has to go in for repair and the repairer says it might take 3 days but it might be a bit more as well. I don't want to use the emergency postponement because that can only be used once a year. If I ask for 3 days only, then I may time out on some games because I cannot add to the postponement immediately.

Should i just ask for the maximum number of days i might need - knowing I will forfeit some of them?

I would take the max time that you have available. So if you have 30 days of vacation time left. Use 30 days if your computer is fixed in 3 days or 5 days you can cancel your vacation flag and still have vacation time left. Better safe then sorry. I hope this helps?

Are you sure that's correct?

Message:
I think you use the amount of days you take weather or not you cancel PP when you come back.

Either way If you think you're going to be gone 3 days best bet is 5-7 day PP.

I always add a few days to what I know I have to use just to be safe.

What I am saying is that if you postpone 30 days and you use 10 and cancel you still have 20 days in your bank. I use this always not the 30 but I always go over by 10 days. And yet I have never and will never have a time-out. I will never disrespect my opponent by time-out!
