This is for us to keep track of the movement of the top 10 here at gameknot. I know you can look it up, but it's interesting to follow who are the best here. Another interesting fact--Cyrano has dropped to 3rd!

..it's very tight at the top, but that's what i think because they all have over 50 games running. IMO, a combination of a very high rating and playing a lot of games, especially against quality opposition means that you are vulnerable to draws. Indeed, cyrano has not lost for while, but had a string of draws.
IMHO. :)

A note about the player by the name of borissp--I looked at the board tonight and he came out of nowhere with a current rank of 2404. He is 14th right now, but in his two matches against rodog--he came out with two draws. His current record is an amazing 96-2-23...and he has beaten some of the best here including zoltantor....
Expect his to break into the top 10 sometime soon, I think. He has great potential and has appeared on my radar. If he is able to draw against the great rodog, he has some talent and it will be interesting to see if he makes it onto the top 10 pretty soon....

It's been awhile since I've updated this, but I should note that the mighty Cyrano has returned from his slumber and is once more a threat. He now securely holds 2nd place again, and is posed for attack on number #1.

OTB chess and correspondence chess require different skillsets, so only a few players managed to get high titles in both.

I know that some top player here are strong OTB player ,I think Cairo,Fmgaijim have IM norms

I got curious so looked up cairo's profile ( gameknot.com).
He has 2 IM norms in correspondence chess, but I did not find him on FIDE at all.
You can look at full FIDE list of players (including inactive ones) here: www.fide.com
I know that from Croatia there is at least 1 FIDE master (FM) and 3 master candidates (MK - including myself) active on GameKnot. There could be more but some players are anonymous.
