 Subject: Premium Subscribing in Euros

Hi
After playing a few months on this site I wanted to subscribe to premium membership.
But because I don't live in a "dollar - country" and also don't have Visa or such I see I can only pay with Bank Transfer.
The problem is that I have to pay the same amount of dollars in euros ( 40 euro instead of 40 dollars).
May bee this rule was made when the dollar and euro had the same value,
but now this would cost me like 50% more as 1 euro is ~ 1.5 dollar.
I don't really think this is right.
( I also didn't find a "contact gameknot" button so I posted this in the forums)

You can pay with PayPal in US Dollars and PayPal will convert. I do business with a European and it does it the other way around (OUCH!!)

I once tried to make a pay pal account, but the only way I could put money on that account was with a Visa/Credit card, which I don't have...

39.95 Euro (EUR) = 60.59 US Dollars (USD)
----
39.95 US Dollars (USD) = 26.34 Euro (EUR)
And for a money transfer from Europe to America i pay 4.50 Euro,s
So 39.95 + 4.50 = 44 Euro (EUR) = 66.73 US Dollars (USD)
That means we pay 26.78 US Dollar more then usual.. for a Gold account
I think the best solution to this problem is:
giving the people in Europe who pay with a bank transfer a Platinum account instead of a Gold account..
We pay more so we get more and i think for GK it is the cheapest solution

I'll make you a deal. If you will change the $40.00 we pay to make a money transfer to Europe, to being 4L ; then bring parity between USD + Euro's + BS ... I will write a real nice letter to GK about lowering that rate. As it is, I spend $3000 over there everytime I reach Europe. Is This Fair? :)

I think u are missing the point here.
If I pay with a credit card or pay pal ( where u also need a credit card, to upload funds to your pay pal account) then I only pay 40 dollars.
If I don't have a credit card I have to pay 60 dollars ( 40 euros).
This has nothing to do with everything getting more expensive for you.
The point being : If you don't have a credit card u pay 50% more

I got a debit card just before subscribing. If you don't like credit cards, that is one alternative, though I accept it can be hassle for some.
