Subject: Different Golden Pawns
Message: After browsing around I've noticed that some premium subscribers have the silver pawn (monthly subscribers, signified with the gameknot.com gif), some have the golden pawn (gold, platinum, and titanium subscribers, signified with the gameknot.com gif), and some have a different pawn altogether.
It's a colour somewhere between the silver and golden pawns, gameknot.com
Just curious as to how you get it and why it's different.
Thanks in advance!

Message: that our pawns tarnished. :-)
I am a legacy member. Is my pawn a different color?

Message: Mike adjusted the color swatches at one point in time, and seemingly didn't want to delete pm2.gif and replace it. That .gif used to be the gold/premium/titanium image dating back to 2002. Perhaps it just wasn't gold enough?
It definitely is much easier to rename the image's name on the site than to re-upload an image in the same name.
Good observation, though. Just briefly skimming, it doesn't appear that pm2.gif is actively used anymore.

Message: I thought pm3 is for Gold/Platinum/Titanium members, pm1 for the Silver ones and the pm2 for Bronze memberships (same options as normal premium members but a limit of 12 games, like non-premium members). For example I think lighttotheright has such a membership. The Bronze membership was a one-time offering, but I'm not entirely sure.

Message: I may be wrong, then. I do know that chuckventimiglia has the pm2 gif very early on, so perhaps he started out with a Bronze membership.
If so, sorry for the misinformation.

Message: Heinzkat is correct. I have a bronze membership. But tournament games allow me to sometimes play a few more than my normal limit of 12. If I already have 12 games being played, I cannot start a new tournament.
That's Ok. I cannot really handle more than 15 or 16 games at once, and I prefer to play about 10. So for now, I am happy with my bronze membership.

Message: Thanks guys. Now that I think of it, "somewhere between the silver and golden pawns" does suggest a bronze colour!

Message: pm2.gif must have been more all-encompassing in the past.

Message: I remember Chuck having a big fish in his hands on that picture described, is this correct?
And what about this fossil version of GameKnot?

Note the extra text 'under' the question mark after '20 sec.'
Also worthwhile knowledge; on Feb 10, 2002 Mike was 28, on Jun 02, 2002, he was 27!
Enough for now..
