 Subject: GK canceling my account...
Message:
I received a message from GK telling me I have blocked advertising and because of that my account will be canceled unless I buy premium. Since that is not an option for me, I need some help on how to make my browser/PC more add-friendly.
I use FF as browser and ClamWin as antivirus system. The only firewall I use is the standard WinXP one. My OS is WinXP Professional with SP 2. I'd really appreciate someone sharing their expertise on the Internet and thus allowing me to continue playing on GK.
If you need more data about my PC, let me know and I'll supply it.
I'm sure I'm also not the only in this situation and that more people are looking for the answer to this problem.

In the Firefox menu choose "preferences" then uncheck the box blocking pop-up windows.

Allowing pop-ups with FF is not enough - I had pop-ups allowed for GK on Firefox, but I still got that message once. Usually, I use Firefox, too. But for the cause of advertising being displayed, I use the Internet Explorer (without anything blocked) solely for GK. As long as you don't open other sites with the IE, that should work without much effort. just make sure that you can see the advertizes, and everything will be okay.

is right. Firefox integrates ad blocking in its browser, making GK inherently Firefox unfriendly for free users. Switch to IE when you visit this site.
But if GK told you that your account will be canceled unless you buy premium, that option might not be on the table for long. Hopefully you can get things sorted out, because this website is somewhat stringent when they've determined they want to cut someone off.
