 Subject: Recent Checkmates
Message:
Has anyone noticed this on the front page? It looks pretty cool.
I wonder how far back it considers "recent". I also wonder how frequently it gets updated, and how much lag there is. If I ever get a checkmate on this site (most opponents I beat tend to resign before I get the chance), I'm gonna keep an eye out for it.

GameKnot has implemented something I suggested !!! :-)
Note: in a slightly different way though. But it looks nice. I wonder if the checkmate I just had will slide there too... oh how exciting...

I'm using firefox, it's good enough for me and I like that it isn't microsoft that's behind it.
It gets updated frequently and is less attacked than internet explorer, so it is safer.
I did not notice slower loading at all.

I noticed it this morning. I was in the computer lab on my university's campus. I glanced across the room and noticed a guy on another computer was on Gameknot. I looked a little closer and noticed that he was fixated on the main screen. Then I realized this AWESOME new feature.

It looks like GK added some new links onto the front page. Now you have the following options upon login:
» Start a new game
» Join a game
» Your buddy list
» Your stats/profile page
I wonder if this is part of a pre-planned remodeling of the front page, or if it is just to compensate for the mixed outlook over the "Recent Checkmates" feature.

Wish would list the protagonists. Thought I recognised a couple of mine on there, but it changed so soon I couldn't be sure.
