Subject: Thanks for the notification of new features
Message: Just want to give a general "Thanks" to the GK community for updating all of us on new features that come down the way. Since we don't hear much from Gameknot on recent additions, it's nice to know that the community will pick up on the upgrades and let us all know. :)

Not particularly updates that need to be mentioned on the "What's new on GameKnot" list. It would be nice if some "small upgrades list" was shown publicly though...

In over the board play, a move is considered declining the offer. Most other turn-based sites also treat draw offers this way.
Why did GameKnot make a change that in effect alters the rules tournament players expect?

Message: Incredible - but I have missed a draw offer while playing an endgame out real-time. Not that it mattered much - the position was a dead draw. I am happy with the change.

Message: I'm not particularly thrilled with the change. If anything, I think it should be optional as a part of preferences. I know on yahoo chess, the system is the same way. It frequently gets abused. People offer draw as a method of being annoying, basically forcing you to do one extra thing before making your move. The stakes aren't as severe here since we have more time to play, but I think there is still potential for it being annoying.
In live play, you don't need to acknowledge the draw offer in order to reject it. And in correspondence, I believe it's the same thing. I'm not a huge fan of that particular change, though there are some other touch-ups to the site lately that I do like.

Message: Is there a formal way of suggesting changes to GK? I would like to suggest to GK that they add a suggestion box!
The closest thing to a suggestion box is the FAQ file where a magic "50th" FAQ entry will appear only after having selected one of the other FAQs which gives a link for contacting GK only if your question wasn't answered by the previous 49 FAQs (quite a clever way of forcing folks to at least "read" something from the FAQ first!). When I have submitted a suggestion via the 50th FAQ it immediately responds back with something like "149 emails are ahead of you", which makes me feel sorry for whoever has to read these emails -- or maybe this is a "bluff" just to make me be patient -- sort of like MUZAK when being put on hold waiting for the next available operator.
BTW: My latest suggestion was to do with the puzzle page -- if you enter a specific puzzle number in the "VIEW" window you get the puzzle, but you don't see the statistics (i.e. number of solvers, difficulty, etc.). In order to see this information you have to then wander through the pages using the "1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 10 ... 169" method which can be very tedious.
GK kindly acknowledged my suggestion within a couple of days saying that their development team would consider my suggestion. I guess they have more than one or two people working behind the scenes if they have a "team".

Message: I have noticed that when an opponent is online and it is your move, that the game goes to the top of the list, and other games, with less time remaining for you to make a move, stay in order below. Has anyone else noticed this, or am I just finally realising something that has been happening for months?

Message: Not sure about the new size... Usually I enter the new move, then overcome with uncertainty, go to the analyze board. Then, when I return, if I want to reset, that large 'submit' button is very easy to hit. Personally, I think it should have been made smaller;)
