 Subject: League Question

Hi, I just joined Gameknot and I'm interested in only league play at the moment. Here is my dilemma. I joined Division D2 as a provisional 1200 and I now realize that I belong in a higher division... so I devised what I thought was a decent plan but it turns out it was pretty stupid. Since after winning a couple of games my provisional rating shot up to 1900+ I decided to retire from the league and rejoin since the rules section says those above 1900 will start in Division C3. Well after quitting the league I realized that I could only rejoin D2... meaning that I will have to wait another week now to advance to D1... etc. I mean I guess if I thought about it I should have realized that my plan wouldn't work but now not only do I have to wait an extra week to get through D2 but I also lost the 9 points I had amassed. Sucks for me I guess. To be honest I'm just looking forward to reaching a division where I have to fight for my life to not get demoted, but by the looks of things that won't be for a while. :-(

A whole week - the horror the horror. So what's the question? Just think if you don't amass 10 points by the end of the first week you may need to STAY TWO WHOLE WEEKS. OH THE PAIN THE PAIN. :]

Well I guess the question was is there any way to fast track my way up to a competitive bracket. At this rate it will take over a month to get a good game as I can't imagine feeling any pressure until maybe C1. If I had known I would have established my rating first before I entered the League. Oh well.

That's cool. I was just kind of kicking myself because I didn't read the rules correctly. I'm over it now though and I'm starting to really like this site
