Message: Superju explained why he left in his profile before he vanished. I don't know about the others.
Apparently, Superju needed to cut back the number of his games because he was extremely busy. He only wanted to continue a few games at a time. He mistakenly thought he could simply change back to his non-member status. GK would not allow him do that because of his brother had an old account on his computer from 3 years ago that was only used once. GK has a very strict policy on multiple accounts, especially for non-paying members. So, Superju got very upset because he has been a paying member for years and felt that some sort of exception to the rule should apply given the circumstance. GK will not make an exception concerning multiple accounts for non-paying members. You cannot have them.
When people get upset, for whatever reason, they rarely react rationally...thus you get a meltdown. Superju's brother was never going to use the account again, yet his account was tagged for multiple accounts. As he explained it, he could not even use another computer to fix the problem. Instead of just finishing out his games, he starting to either timeout or resign his remaining games.
If I was him, I would have finished the games. The multiple account tag would have only prevented him from starting new games once his paying status expired. He could have finished those games at his own pace. Once he was no longer as busy, then he could have renewed his membership at a later date. He did not need to renew immediately--at least that is my assumption. Once he renewed his membership, then he could start new games again.
Yet when people are upset, they don't necessarily react in rational ways. I assume the others had their meltdowns for their own personal and probably unrelated reasons. There is no telling why, unless there is some sort of contact with them. Only they can tell you.
