Subject: Question about the league

Message:
It's a pretty simple question; how come I and others didn't get promoted/relegated today, while there actually were exactly 30 players in the group? Now, there are 35 in the group (who promoted from C1).

PS: The only explanation I can come up with, is that somebody retired from the league just a few minutes before the promotions and relegations were performed, after which he rejoined the league.
PPS: If my league score is +0.5 or 0, can I retire from the league, resign a league game I am losing and rejoin the same division afterwards with a zero league score?

The first part of your question, I'm not sure about, but the answer to the second part, if I understand your question correctly is no, since you can only rejoin the same division you leave, if your score is positiv when you left it!

Best wishes
Cairo

Yes cairo...

Message:
that's why I'm asking - you retire from the league at the moment your league score is positive - then you resign the game. There is no negative league score so you can rejoin the same division... or not?

I

Message:
have a strong feeling that even though you retire when your score is positive or zero, that remaining game in the league you then afterwards resign, will eventually count on your league-score as negative, but I'm not 100% sure, perhaps you should direct your questions (if not allready) to the webmaster directly!

Best wishes
Cairo

Agreed

Message:
I think Cairo is right. I played in the league a while back and retired when I had too much else on. I retired from D1 with a neg score, and noticed if I wanted to rejoin I would come back in D2. However, on completing my remaining league games I won more than I lost, thus taking me to a positive league score, at which point I found that if I wanted to rejoin the league I could (and still could) come back to D1, therefore it seems league score is still adjusted according to the final results of games that weren't finished at the time of retiring from the league.

Aha!

Message:
Okay thanks 8ballphoenix. I thought it could be a smart way of 'fooling the system'.

"Fooling the system"

Message:
Only sort of because each time you join the League you'll be back at zero. So, yes, assuming the resignation doesn't reduce your last score, you'll remain in the same division. However, you'll never be promoted either!
