Well I played in a OTB tourny a couple of weeks ago and a CCIM rated 2350ish OTB player lost to a 1450 player. So it can happen.
Your style of play is also an important factor here at GK. A 2400 fide player who plays like its an OTB game will obviously lose against lower rated CC players.

yes i'm aware of that, happens more than once... so we just considder the first half of the game as a lot of very bad days for him and the 2nd half as the best endgame he ever played? everything is possible... i even don't know why i'm so upset about it. well yes, i DO know, because he talks like a chessplayer who just started playing, like one of those who call you a cheater when you take his pawn e.p.
sometimes its just frustrating.
oh well, i'll keep an eye on him.

if i might ask what i missed?
i think we are a great team as is. we need players of all ratings. an 800 player can get as many team points as an 2700 player if you pair it right. it's the team spirit that counts. i think that this forum page is very important for our team. it holds the team together. if i look into other team pages, the players joke around, exchanging their ideas and helping out if someone got stuck in a game and doesn't see a way out.
team spirit.
v_glorioso12 we have a great team and very good players, otherwise we wouldn't be in the top 30 either. so i don't want to see anyone "shut up". say whats bugging you.
if others think, like firedance your english isn't good enough, don't worry about it, we are a team, no one will laugh at you or boo you out.

this now goes to the players with unlimited team games: how unlimited is your unlimited? do you want 30, 60, 100 games? can you handle 2000+? it's up to you guys...

based under a misunderstanding he left the team. he requested at lotr's times to have his game counter to be reset to zero, but for some reason lotr never changed it. he requested that because he would like to have a break for a few months, after that he will be available again for team matches. in the meanwhile now i came and saw that komei has no team games but requested 4. poor lord i thought and gave him two...
well, now he's back, will try to win those two games and will then take his break.
good luck komei and welcome back.
i'm sure he would say something to this as well, but right now he is still banned from the forums
please msg me, if you have the same situation, so i know who's able to post and who not.
keep up the good my lords we are doing great, if we keep on going like that, we'll be in the top 20 around christmas, wouldn't that be a nice present for the team?

i was looking at a few ongoing games and the overall doesn't look bad at all. you guys are doing so great, i'm pround of you!
here comes another point for our team:
thegreatchampino vs. drgandalf (won)
also i'm still trying to get the "pre-match" going on between the team captains and one additional player against the vlad's impalers.
i picked olympio because he's on his best way to win against cyrano in one of his team games.
so the pairing would be:
olympio vs. cyrano and kai_sim vs. cairo
i'm not sure what cyranos plan is, but he keeps on chickening out. he always finds a new reason to delay the match. the current reason for the delay is that cairo could beat me, if i understood him right.
this stalling goes now on since a week. i wonder how long it will take him to set up the 8vs.8 in the end of september...
oh well, i'll keep on fighting for it and you guys please keep up the GREAT work you are doing!
