 Subject: GLOBAL BOUNTY HUNTERS TEAM THREAD 23
Message:
Time for a new team thread. I hope some of you guys will help me motivating Gunnar to keep playing for us (see end of previous thread).
I cut away a bit of the "sky" around the new logo with the "sky" background to make it a bit easier to read in small version (you know, non-paying member problem). I hope noone get offended by that.

DO NOT LEAVE!! PLEASE. you may put alot of pressure on yourself to win but the team does not. your match ups will get better. dont get down about your team score its only -7. sxyvoice was in the -20's!! she has made a fantastic comeback and i know you can too. richardwyles was also in the same boat but has made a comeback as well. i want you to stay noone on this team has ever not even once said anything about anyones score. i truely want us to be a team not a bunch of individuals. so far from what i have seen from this team is excatly what i want. we all want you to stay. i want this to be fun for you not work. we support you. your score is our score. please dont feel like an outsider here. i personally asked you to be on this team and i dont regret it. :) also i already have a picture in mind for you so you cant leave ;)

with GK's rating system it is quite easy to creep up and be over-rated. I'm over-rated at the moment and will challenge some strong players, of course do my best to beat them and learn along the way, but also the outcome will be to drop back to <1400 which is where I belong. I'm staying to wipe my debt to the team (once I was -25) and then get positive. That's the challenge for you too.

Can you imagine losing a game with a queen and rook up?? Happened to me just recently. I got forked by the darn bishop, and then got hit by the knight :(
I realized that quantity doesnt mean quality. When I had around 20 games going on, I had a rating of 15xx. When I had around 100+ games going on, my play fell from 15xx to 13xx :(
Now I am trying to get some quality back into my games. But I still dislike bishop and knight - they're queer creatures.

I guess not many of you have noticed, but I've been away for about a week. I got a new family member last week (a baby boy, 53cm and 3990g). There's a picture of him and his "big sister" on my profile page.
Now I'm back playing team games again. Keep them coming stinky, I'm ready for up to 20 team games. I hope to adjust my negative team score soon.

I suggest laying a checkered floor and marking the squares properly. The next step would be to force your lovely daughter not to move in other manners in that of the Queen. If she behaves bad in any way restrict movements to rook or bishop consequently!

My daughter already knows that the Knight is the only piece that can jump over something. When she's tired of playing with my chess board she says "checkmate" regardless of the position. Not too bad when your'e two and a half years old.

YOU MIGHT CALL THIS A PEP TALK I WILL LET YOU DECIDE :) I JUST WANTED TO LET EVERYONE KNOW THAT I APPRECIATE YOUR EFFORTS FOR THIS TEAM. I WOULD LIKE TO ADDRESS THE ISSUE OF POSSIBLE TEAM BURNOUT. I KNOW FOR MYSELF IN THE EARLY HISTORY OF THE TEAM I WAS VERY EXCITED TO BE A PART OF THIS TEAM. AFTER SOME TIME THE FEELING SEEMED TO HAVE DIMINISHED. I THINK ITS EASY TO FEEL THIS WAY ESPECIALLY FOR SOME OF THE LONG TIME MEMBERS. I ESPECIALLY WANT TO REMIND THEM THEY ARE THE BACKBONE OF THE TEAM AND ARE COUNTED ON GREATLY. REGARDLESS OF YOUR WINS OR LOSSES YOU (OLDTIMERS) HAVE STAYED LOYAL AND KEPT FIGHTING. I WANT US ALL TO BE REMINDED THAT WE ARE PART OF SOMETHING REALLY NEAT HERE. WE HAVE COME TOGETHER FROM DIFFERENT PARTS OF THE WORLD FOR A COMMON GOAL. SEEMS LIKE ALL THE GOVERNMENTS OF THE WORLD CANT GET ALONG NO MATTER HOW HARD THEY TRY BUT... I CAN TALK BAD TO A GUY IN ITALY SNOWDOG AND WE ARE STILL FRIENDS!! I THINK SOMETIMES WE EVEN GET TIRED OF CHESS ITSELF, I NEVER THOUGHT THREE DAYS WOULD BE TO SHORT A TIME TO MOVE BUT SOMETIMES WHEN I FEEL LIKE CHESS IS BOTHERSOME TO ME, THREE DAYS SEEMS SHORT. I have learned, throughout the last few weeks, how much our dear captain values each member. Stinky, thanks for the vote of confidence. Although I dont post much, I do read every post and am here for the long run.
The team's immediate goal is to reach a team score of 0. I can imagine the joy the day it happens :). When we do reach zero, we must do something special to rember that day.
