I have, therefore, started this new Team Social Forum to help achieve this goal...and also to get the drop on Social Dude :-) This does not mean anyone can start a Pawn Stars Forum. There are certain standards to be upheld and our forums are a serious business ( snort ). All potential forums must be assessed and deemed acceptable by Team Management. We don't want any trashy ones sneaking through now do we...lowering the tone 'n' all that? So please keep posting in the "old" one, but make sure this one stays up there too. CAPTAIN xena

xena 9/19/2004 00:00:47 [ report this post ]	A Bit About Navy Intelligence Message: Well this thread has been up all of five minutes and it seems to be going quite well so far. :-) I do believe the Good Admiral was having a stab at satire (the use of ridicule, irony or sarcasm in speech or writing) there. This may class him as part of the lunatic fringe, but isn't really conclusive proof of that. If you allow me, I think I can translate his post(s) into something resembling sentence structure. This is my interpretation in a NUTshell. Admiral Jeffery says he isn't going to post anything in this forum because he thinks we are egotists and that very concept is beneath him but, and this is the satirical part, the very fact that he has posted a post saying he isn't going to post a post makes mockery of the idea about not posting anything. That's the hilarious bit. But wait, it gets better! Jeffrey then realises that his post has contravened his own non-posting stance and he, therefore, posts another in order to make light of that fact. Gedditt? I hope this has made everything clearer. [if that's not an ego trip... I don't know what is...] I have also demostrated that a few of you have "below average" reading comprehension abilities. It was wrong of me to call Admiral Jeffy a "forum parasite". I did, in fact, encourage him to post stuff in here. My attacking him in such a manner was uncalled-for, but fun nevertheless. I guess that makes me something of a hypocrite...I'll just add that to my ever-growing list of titles shall I? I hope the Commander of The Seaman accepts this apology in the spirit that it is given and continues with his posts. I totally refuse to walk the plank over this though. While I'm on a roll here, I would just like to say that MAYBE, JUST MAYBE, having a ton of forums wasn't one of my better thought -out- plans, as they seem to be all going a bit side-ways at the moment. In future we will have one (1) Team Social Forum only, plus the micro-tournament ones ( if any are happening, that is). Even I have been getting confused about which forum is which now. The other problem with so many forums is that the 'content' is getting more and more..er..dubious, shall we say? We collect 'em, scan 'em, and post 'em to our website! (Well, I'm actually scanning them in right this moment... so SOON they will be on the website.)
