Message: .muppyman -
I agree, you need to get lucky :)
And I almost said you need to fill the icecube trays. Then #51 appeared...way to go!
I need a kilt. But that's another story, and how widely distorted you will just NOT believe! U R a dangerous man... }8-)
***************************
Status: Poor and humble, but a little lucky. Besides that, still no wins, losses, draws to report. Except that Grandphish is done pounding the fish (me). Cooked and served, just hope i dont stink up the house for 3 days.
*******************************************
Haven't we hit 50 points yet?! Should we raise it to 51 now? One per Thread ?

Oop, I gotta go. I hear a ding-dong ... I think somone is paging me !?

11/12/2004 22:21:35 [ report this post ] | Great stuff,
Message: what a team effort. Marvellous, and what can be achieved can also be improved on. This is just the team to do it.
By the way ccmcacollister, I can't help wondering what the team members would really think if they knew what you and I know about the kiltless highlander, there might be some red faces if they were aware of the insidious truth behind the assumptions and surmising that is going on. But never fear, the secret is safe with me. :)

Message: Och aye loddie, but not even our fearless leader knows the truth about the kiltless one who stalks the Moors at night like the hound of the basketballs, striking terror into the hearts of innocent young ladies, and giving grown men reason to quake at the thought of the curse of the cult of the kilt-wi-a-tilt. Only two GBH members know the Highlander's true identity and both are sworn to secrecy on pain of being cast upon the altar of the dreaded Red Hairy McLegs.
archadl, Don't hide your light under a bushel, the Springboks could benefit from having you give them a motivational team talk :)

Message: my dear friend, are a sick, sick man. I applaud that.
And so, ye say, do ye, that this wilt-a-kilt s'bin hidin' basketballs 'as he? Well, 'at would be sight
ta see...and as for these, here, 'ounds, tryin', as they might, to have thur way with these
magnificent balls, perhaps, it might be said that this heroic highlander (the pride of the GBH)
might be a bit braver than one might've suspected at the outset...hounds, laddies, hounds...

Message: Ah Muppyman still mieght not it be better when sleeping highlanders are lyed than left right? And Uno what what I mean ! There's more wisdom in a pound of blarney, than a basket of balls! Or a gallon of spilt milk, for that matter . . . Still, the kiltless one too roams free for all to see sawing what he would, even wood if he could . . . if ya know what I mean. ? Don't you agree? The kiltless one, of naked knees . . . ?
(I hope I haven't given too much away, lest I suffer too, his wrath! But the chance I had to take . . . even if he comes to wake)

Message: I don't know if he would come to a wake, that's more Irish than Scottish, still, given his true identity I don't suppose that's really significant, or is it? Hmmmmmmmmm, what a quandary, what a conundrum, what a fiendish way to stir the cauldron huh? I too hope you have not given away too much, mistakes are easy to make and we have already revealed that he is not a she. Too many people have been confused by what they thought he was wearing (or not wearing). As the Bard said "costly thy habit as thy purse can buy, but not expressed in fancy, rich, not gaudy, for the apparel (or lack of it) oft proclaims the man."
If that doesn't tell the astute team members who he is, nothing will :))

11/14/2004 14:03:07 [ report this post ] | Oh the shame :((
Message: I am ashamed!
Somehow I have managed to lose a won game. So if anyone feels like hitting me... make it fast before i drag the team score down further. And besides if its hard enough I might miss the rest of my exam due to injury.
And of course muppyman i think I will have to deliberatley misunderstand your last post so as not to lose all sense of dignity. :/

Message: It's probably a good thing to get those kind of losses over and done with nice and early and forget about them, such accidents cannot be undone, they need to be shunted into the past where they belong and be replaced with fresh results from far more memorable games. Smile, shake your head, and move on. :)

Message: Take courage mon brave, we of the Southern Hemisphere never actually have failures, just temporary setbacks which give our opponents the erroneous impression that we might be vulnerable, and that usually proves to be their ultimate undoing. Remember always that even in the U.S.A. there are still people who say "Save your Confederate money boys, the South's gonna rise again!" Not appropriate to our Southern Hemisphere of course, but it does have a ring to it :))

Message: I don't know how you can tell such barefaced truths about us.:) Fortunately, while you sane ones keep our team score above water, we crazy ones tend to keep the team forum from the appearance of normality, it seems to be a good balance. :)) For the few people who might still be wondering, the kiltless highlander never ever existed in any way, shape, or form. If you hunt far enough back in the forums, you will find that he first emerged as part of a figure of speach, a "simile". I don't recall the exact wording, but it was along the lines of someone being as innocent as a kiltless highlander or suchlike expression. How that flippant statement was given an actual persona, I have no idea. Nobody on this team was ever intended to be that entity, so there was never any point in wondering who it might be. I have to say, though, that it was fun rolling the thought along for a while. I, for one, will now lay the poor fellow to rest. Please don't imagine that this decision makes me any less insane. :)

Message: The womenfolk here have a special dispensation to talk to themselves, because in this forum the only way a lady can get an intelligent conversation is to talk to herself. We of the other gender are so full of it our eyes should be brown.:)) So of course you have to talk to yourself, who could blame you? In DOK's case, he has been temporarily smitten with pernicious sensibility, but fear not, it will pass.
archadl, There is no doubt whatsoever that I for one do NOT exist, and to prove it I am not here, in fact this is not me typing this, it is being typed by a demented pretender to the exulted title of muppyman. I have no clue to his identity, but one thing is certain, I am not myself. This posting will self destruct in five seconds, please read quickly, memorise, and swallow. :)

Message: Study huh? What a pointless exercise. I studied once, I was studying to be an idiot, but I didn't have enough intelligence to get past the first level. Give it up lad, all you will get from it is an education, the application of which will only make you rich, and probably famous too. You really want something like that to happen? Imagine the constant interruptions to your tranquil equilibrium with people coming to you for advice and wanting to share your knowledge and wisdom. Not to mention the endless array of goods and services that will become available to you because of your great wealth. Gasp! it doesn't bear thinking about. Escape from it now, while you still can, boy. Take the advice of a moron and flee!! :)
