Message: Hello all Chessmaniacs,
I thought it would be cool to setup a forum for us to chat about all sorts of things from whether the red planet really is red to whether the Grunfeld is superior to the Nimzo-Indian. michael_qin, I hope I'm not stepping on your prerogatives, but if so please accept my apologies.

Message: Ok, let me kick this off.
I'm a proud daddy of a gorgeous 15 month old boy who is a bundle of energy, who delights and exhausts me every day. My wife and I have been married for just over four years.
I work at the University of KwaZulu-Natal in Durban, South Africa and am part of a team providing computer support for some 5000 staff members. I also do web work using PHP and VBScript. I administer a couple of MySQL installations as well. I have hopefully just finished my National Diploma in Information Technology (I will know on the 23rd Decemeber, just in time to screw up Christmas ;-)) and will start on an Honours degree in Digital Media next year.
Chessically, I have played for many years. Some times more intensely than at others depending on what my life at the time allows. Prior to the last few weeks, I think I must have played four games in as many years. So finding a site like this is wonderful.
I have played chess since I was in primary school and fter so many years of playing have reached the fortunate position of having only three weak areas. These are the opening, the middle game and the endgame. lol

I would like to work with horses. I spent 5 weeks in USA in one horse clinic back in 2001.
It's very diffucult to work in Slovenia with horses-cause they are too many vets and too few horses :)
Right now I'm looking for a job-I will probabably become veterinary inspector in EU, which is not that bad.
But my wish are horses and Kentucy-USA.

His hotel offered him a spot on a Paul Bacuse course in order to try and tempt him to stay. But sometimes I suspect that some players use computer help to win games. I'm also playing on another page and there one guy confess me, that he uses chess program to win games and only important to him was statistics.
What do other team's member think about that? Using chess programs to win games!
I think it's compleatly stupid. You don't get anything, you are just cheating your self and you imagine you are better then you realy are.
I prefer chess books and look some problems and solve them in real chessboard!
Take care and don't cheat! It's not worth.

Message: According to another player on GK,
There was one player on our team, Treeboy, who cheated in team games.
He didn't use a computer, but had one winning and one losing game against his opponent. His opponent suggested that they take draws instead of a win and a lose, and treeboy agreed. But Treeboy took the draw in the losing game, and checkmated his opponent.
I was pretty ticked off when I learned the truth, but the opponent asked that I just forget it.
