Baron - had you finalised that plan to beat Southern Chess out of the water yet?
Wabbit season is STRICTLY one day only, unless you are called Jo in which case it seems to be all year round ;-)
Welcome back Farhadexists, good to see you back. Monkeyratdog is still having problems but will be coming back at some point. All other team members seem to be around. The December newsletter will be sent out today, and also a summary posted on here.....see you soon folks

I hope everyone has had a good Xmas and is enjoying the start to the new year. Good to see bods trickling back, it was so quiet over Xmas…..I had to talk to my mum in law instead! *pulls face*, its not that I don't like her….she doesn't like me….which is, I must admit, understandable ;-)
And back down to 15 members we go. We seem to be having a problem, not exclusive to our team, of people doing midnight flits. Because of this we are going to be very cautious of admitting new people. I did, and do, want this to be a friendly team, but your hard work is being undermined by people who haven't your commitment.
We have, courtesy of the Baron, a thread on one of GKs forums. This can be accessed by clicking 'more options' on the left hand menu, then selecting 'forums', 'team play discussions' and finally 'wasskaly wabbits and morose mooses'. Please feel free to use this, and to comment on any team matters, especially what you would like from the team. More chat? A team tourney? Chess lessons? (yeah yeah I know I need them! *lol*)…..here is your chance to say what you think.
Currently, completed matches only we have 17 wins, 6 draws and 13 losses. Quite a few of those losses have been because of timeouts and certain people leaving. Not that I'm miffed..not much! Well done to all those who have contributed and thank you. Hopefully this year we can get even better!

My special buddy Moose keeps me laughing which is good medicine for a moose-ett that works alot of hours, but still tries day to day to win a chess game against him...thank goodness for the option to have it unrated....cause its never happens....he still tries to tell me to "think" longer and ahead before moving but its hard to teach a old moose-ett new tricks....LOL
When I set at the computer and the hours fly by at times....I think ....moose-ett ya need to get a life....but I do have one...my love for chess is just part of it....

I've never set up a mini before, I was fooling around with the options, and I got this message :
Note: you are starting an invitation only mini-tournament with no rating limits, so mini-tournament points will not be awarded at the end of it.
I assume this is the type of mini you want me to set up? I guess people could send me PMs to tell me that they would like to join. At the moment I'm going for :
Initial set up position : None, unless someone would like to suggest a ridiculous opening :)
No. of players : depends on the response I get (PMs please those who are interested)
Time limit : 3d + 1d < 5d (please let me know if you're not ok with this)

I agree with Zep, some matches like Wuher vs Wabbit are kinda obvious in result..... so it would be nice to gain some feedback and have it unrated. Can we also have Baron giving everyone a queen start to stop him being mean?

In the type of tournament we are proposing, every player plays every other player twice, once as black, once as white. GK will only allocate you up to 4 games at a time, so you won't get swamped. Apart from that its just normal chess.
