...I just made it up. Oh hang on, you WERE asleep...have you never heard of a sawn-off shotgun? THAT must be it. Anyway I'm the CAPTAIN and I can do whatever I like and I can call anything I like, anything I like. It's kind of hard to come up with pawn puns all the time you know. I admit there is a bit of bottom scraping going on (no jokes about that please) and I would in fact WELCOME any suggestions for titles. Pawncrusader and someone else ( it might have been bergil) sent me some a while back but I...er...misplaced them. Please feel free to resubmit. I totally refuse to justify my choice of title...although I seem to have done just that. Next please.

Well thank yer tag but I have used 'Pawn In 60 Seconds' and I had already thought of 'Pawn With The Wind' but I wuz saving it for a Southern moment... which seems to have arrived.
As for the 'painful breakup', I'm sure you'll get over it one day. If you don't, you could try throwing yourself off a cliff or out of a fast moving object ...say a Boeing 747. I'm just telling you this in your best interests you know.
The large team match I can do. You'll have get in line behind the Global Bounty Hunters though 'cos Stinky asked first.

Thur aint no shotgun here, is thur? Just a bunch of soap opreee stuff. And mam i hates ta be the one ta correct your speech, but its sawed off shotgun. Them city folk use those, have ta get to close ta the varmits for my likens. Any hows ya get yearn self a shotgun next time ya try an action one. Works out lots better and people wont be so let down. But it looks like from that crying feller a fore me, ya got a way with that. Poor fellar sounds all heart broke, and now, no shotgun makes two of em.

I always do it in one of my private team messages but, because YOU ARE NOT IN THIS TEAM, you would not know that. I always suggest to new members that they make themselves known in the forum, if they wish. That is The-Form-Pawn-Star-Style. Sometimes they post something, often they don't. As it happens, and not that it's any of your business, I haven't had the chance to do that yet on this occasion because I have been offline with teknikal diffy culties. That aside, apastpawn is quite correct in pulling you up on that one. It isn't The Done Thing to welcome someone to something you are not a part of. I don't know who died and made you Captain of The Pawn Stars but it sure as hell wasn't me. You are just the pestiest nosiest critter ever ain't ya?

My Sensei once told me you must respect your adversaries, for without them you would have no one to play, and if you don't play, how will you ever get better...(I paraphrase, he was a sword master and knew nothing of Chess).

I would just like to say, for the record, that THE CAPTAIN is going nowhere. Sorry to disappoint you Social Dude but I always come back from..uh..you know, battle. So take that thought right out of your purty little head. Strange you couldn't work out who would be my first choice though...I would have thought that would have been obvious.
It's nice to see some new faces in the forum for a change, as we tend to get the same people *looks at bergil* over and over again.
Just a word about the planned huge team matches. The one with 'Global Bounty Hunters' will start shortly. Then we have 'Southern Chess' lined up and after that we have 'Dangerous Toys'. Stinky has some sort of score system, I think, for this so I'll check that out with him later. As a result I'll be limiting team games a bit so that we have as many players available as possible. We are looking at ten as a minimum... hopefully more.
Finally how 'nice' to see leixococcus back and full of sage advice as well. The year has got off to a flying start. Better watch out though, I'm sure I saw pawncrusader around here somewhere. :-)

Guess being a Canuck leaves me about a day and a half behind the rest of the world. Thanks for the congrats bergil but it wasn't my post that that prompted chilliman to end the VB 'Get Enthused' forum. There were 4 delete votes for a start..one of them from the VB XXXX United Captain. Rupert wasn't terribly thrilled with that forum from the outset, so I'm pretty sure that is what sounded the death knell. That and the repulsive and tacky posts which I won't repeat here.
Social Dude wins a packet of jellybeans ( minus the black ones, I always eat those) for his astute and accurate observation. Of course it's COACH. You really have to be hit over the head with everything don't you? It can't be the Other Guy (AKA aucklander7) because he's not a paying member. Teams can only be started by and, to the best of my knowledge, passed over to subscribers.
On the subject of memberships, it has come to my attention that we have now reached the maximum amount of non-paying members. We are allowed 30 and unlimited subscribers. Someone ( he even did a BAT) tried to join the team this morning and couldn't for that reason. So if anyone is thinking of forking out some cash, now is the time do it because poor timmi4 is terribly disappointed.

Well hasn't this stirred you all up wonderfully? I'm even getting messages about this from other team captains. I am thrilled, THRILLED I tell ya, that COACH is so ruthless. It strikes me, on reading his post, that I have been far too lenient on you all of late ( aren't you glad you persisted with this now SD? :-) So to that end, and in light of Coach's wonderful dedication to beheading you all, I hereby OFFICIALLY appoint him as JOINT TEAM CAPTAIN. You will now address him as CAPTAIN COACH and lower your eyes in his presence, as you do me. He will remain as TEAM COACH as well as being CAPTAIN and, while he obviously won't be able to organize games etc, from this day hence he will be watching you all, axe poised, for the slightest slip-up.
