 Subject: Proposed option for captains

I think team captains should have the option to transfer their captains status to other members of their teams. As long as the person receiving the title qualifies under the existing rules of GK, I don't see a problem with it. I currently have some work obligations that require a whole lot of my time, and I don't want my guys to suffer. It would be cool if I were able to pick one of my guys to take over for a while. I wouldn't have a problem with time limits for these transfers, say maybe for 30 days or so. That way the authority could always be transferred back to me. I know there are probably some team players out there who could potentially abuse this and not transfer the power back to the original captain, so some care should be taken to prevent this. I, however, fully trust my long term teammates and know that they would act in an honest fashion. Anyone have any thoughts on this????

this is a great idea; or there could be a Captains' Vacation Flag where you are able to delegate your responsibilities for a certain time period with it reverting back afterwards. similar to the current postponement option available only this would ensure the team would not suffer by your absence. what an odd turnaround it would be if the team actually performed better in your absence...there's some food for thought. wait until the team members find out we don't actually do much, but we do make a lot of noise about it. tag1153, have you posted this on the United Federation thread?

I've been a bit snowed under recently and I have two co-captains, Zep and the Baron that I trust implicitly. It would have been very helpful to have been able to do this.

.. perhaps we could take it a stage further... rent-a-captain, a bunch of roving mercenary captains available for hire to the highest bidder, able to come in and takeover your team in a shock pincer movement, leading from the front, whipping the team into shape and exhorting them to victory, death and glory and .... er... sorry...
... yeah, the vacation flag thing sounds great
