Subject: Suggestions for Team Interface

Message:
Hi Mike ....

As a team captain [Riding Pawn Mowers], there are a couple of suggestions that I would like to put forward to make the process of getting challenges and creating a team identity easier. I have heard you discuss your "To Do List" here in the forums and know that you rate items not only by how widely the new features would be used, but also how easy they would be to implement from your end. These may be already on your to do list ... I've taken a stab at guessing how "widely used" and "easy to implement" each of these are, but since I'm not a programmer by trade, I could be completely in another universe too! :-)

Anyway, here are the suggestions:

1) Team Avatars - I would love to be able to upload my team logo to the team's homepage. I also think it would help build team spirit if teams could upload their "banner" or "logo". [Widely Used?: MEDIUM - team captains only? Ease of Implementation: EASY?]

2) Being able to sort a team's players by rating, team games, and alphabetically - when trying to see if a team would have players in the +/- 100 point range of my own players, it would speed things up to be able to sort the team's membership list by rating (decreasing). [Widely Used? HIGH (all players could sort this way) Ease of Implementation: MEDIUM? no idea]

3) Some sort of icon (checkmark?) to indicate "at a glance" who from a team is available for a game - that way, if I can clearly see that a team has no players available in the ranges I want / need, then I can move on without wasting my time challenging a team, being turned down because of lack-of-availabiliy, counter-proposing, etc. etc. If a player has fewer than their "maximum" set number of team games, it would be a tremendous improvment to the team interface if a little checkmark appeared next to their username in the team member list.

Anyway, that is my 'wish list' for team interface usability. :-)

As always, thanks for all you do, Mike!

I love your ideas, and I have even suggested the same thing myself, (the last one you suggeted) the one about seeing at a glance who's open for a team match and who's not. One other suggestion that would make setting up matches so much quicker - - is to have a collumn where you could see how many days per move each player wants, to be set by each player in his/her preference page I guess. I don't know how hard this would be to add, but I'm sure everyone connected to the teams would use it.

Look at "actíve games" of the team

and then you can sort the players by rating
