Message: Well friends and teammates. Tomorrow I have quiite an honor in getting to play Susan Polgar in a local simul. I will be one of 35 adults playing her tomorrow night. She will play white in each game, we will have a place to annotate the moves and will also get an autographed board. If I can I will mention our illustrious team to her!! Women's Chess Team on GK!

Message: Last night here in Austin, Texas, Grandmaster Susan Polgar visited for a simul held with 35 players, many of these players were well ranked. Im not ranked at all but still got to play. This was my first simul and it was a marathon! It was going on for 5 hours when I finally left due to being so tired. When I left (11:30 pm) she was still playing about 8 games and had tied 2-3. I lost but no surprises there! :} I was happy that I did not fold immediately but went for about 30 moves. The directors were forcing resignations due to time so I was forced to resign, but she would have had me in about 2 moves. It was a great honor to meet her and play against a Grandmaster. She will be here this weekend playing some youth simuls and open tournaments. She has 2 sons and one is a chess champion already! After our games we got our boards signed by her and the annotated game sheet too. It was very interesting and met alot of people who play chess here in Austin. I was worried about Polgar because she had such an intense physical and mental challenge doing this simul. Had flown all the way from NY, laid over in Chicago for 4 hrs, then still playing chess at midnight. I guess she is used to it and can handle it. Maybe someday our team can meet for a chess tournament.

Message: Hi Sabrina,
Yes, I introduced myself and sent congratulations to her from our team, Women's Team on GK. I have no idea if she knew what I was talking about. There were many people talking to her. Supposedly will be pictures on-line of each of the simul players with her. If I find one I will post on my profile. I later spoke with her online, she thanked me for the kind words and said she was very happy to visit Austin and was set to hold over 100 simul games over the whole weekend. Yesterday I attended her last simul game with about 50 kids (she does alot of work with children's chess). I bought one of her books on Chess Tactics - who knows? Maybe I will improve my game by reading it!!

I'm new to the team...and I don't really know how this works. If anyone can help, that would be great...
my first questions is...
how does team challeges work?
i went here: teams (on the navigation menu)>See your team's challenges
well I found my name on there...but I cant find the person that's challenging under My Games...
so i'm completely lost there, how do i accept the challege and play?
any reply would be appreciated
