The GBH website...

Message:
have you been there lately? -> gbhchess.com

If not you are missing out on at least 2 pointless threads I have started on the discussion board!! I even shared a 'most embarrassing moment'...... Of course, if you read these posts, you MUST also share ;)

Anyway, I think it is a great website, with lots of work gone into making it so!! With some great information in the learning section to ponder through.

Seconding the comments from the previous thread by neeta11, we have a great website at gbhchess.com The game of the week feature continues to grow (and please send me any games you would like to submit as candidates for GOTW) and there are many more learning opportunities as well as an off site discussion room. If you haven't been to our website, or if it has been a while since you visited, please take a few minutes and take a look. If you like what you see or have ideas for additions or improvements, let ron, the webmaster, know. Thanks.

We could also use some more chatter in the team forum. Please contribute to this forum as this is a great way to communicate with your teammates. Share your games, your interests, your life events, your jokes, your birthdays, etc. We are your friends as well as your teammates and we want to hear from you.

We have become quite heavy in US players. As our name implies, we are the GLOBAL Bounty Hunters, so I would like to encourage each of you to search through you chess contacts and try to find us some non-US members. Any rating is welcome as long as they are reliable and want to have fun and make the team a priority. It looks like we will be dropping a missing member and I would like to cap the team size at 40, so we have 4 openings. Let's find 4 new members and expand the GLOBAL nature of our team.

to timeout under the new policy...As I logged in this morning to postpone my games, I got the notice that I had timed out on a team game...I have no "valid" excuse - just too much on my mind, relocating to a new country, readjusting, etc...

Sorry I let you down.

Nadim,

Message:
Thank you for your prompt explanation regarding your recent forfeit loss. Fortunately, there was only one game lost and I hope that you will remain with the team and get that game back and more. Under our newly adopted forfeit rules, you will be limited to no more than 10 concurrent team games until you have completed 20 team games without a forfeit loss.

No apology is necessary for your level of contribution. The contributions of all our members are important. We expect no more of a member than that members feels is appropriate within the context of his or her other obligations.
