World Championship match in the toilet

Message:
The reunification match for the World Chess Championship is in the toilet! It appears that the Topalov team filed an official protest yesterday claiming that Kramnik was visiting the restroom too often. Several official protests and Appeal Committee rulings later, Kramnik has not shown up for the 5th game and Topalov has been declared the winner of the 5th game by the arbiter. The situation in Elista is tense and the future of the match is unknown. What a shame.

Everyone have a great weekend...oh and Friday for those a wee bit behind .. :)

I was able to bring in another win today. I feel my days are numbered tho...

Also a big thanks to cntrl for some advice. I had a bit of a question regarding a game, and lucky for me she was online to help me out. Despite how silly I felt asking an obvious question, cntrl was so extremely helpful!!!!

It is great to have such a great support network. Breaker has been a real star lately too, with lots of tips,information..and patience!!! When I first joined GBH Flyer helped me learn some GREAT opening moves which I still use to this day... :))
So kudos to you all!!

Position after 24. ... Bc8; Black resigns after White's next move. What is that move? Hint: This is not a mate in N, just a decisive advantage. The answer is below.

monkeybiker posted a near miss solution to the October 5 puzzle. The proposed solution wins, but there is a shorter, more forcing win with the same theme, just a different move order. The correct and most forcing solution was posted by our friend olean-don from team Phoenix_Rising: 1. Qe8+ Nxe8 2. Bd5+ Be6 3. Bxe6+ Kh8 4. Rf8#

October 6 puzzle:

White to play and win

Go Bounty Hunters!

Solution to the Game of the Day question:

25.Nh4! 1-0
The threat of Rd8! cannot be defended.
Have a great weekend, Bounty Hunters.
