... I finished a team game and fortunately with a win I utilised the famous end game strategy "vinto dal prespegnimento" and recommend it to all teammates.

Captain - does this mean I am in "credit"???

On a slightly more serious note, I also wish to publicly thank Ro for his fantastic leadership = this (was) about to become and ex GBH'er is now an enthusiastic team member as a direct consequence.

I am also trying to play with Neeta - in a manner of speaking - eat your heart out teammates - having some diffculty getting started !!!! - maybe it is the Sydney Melbourne thing ????

Go GBH'ers - 150 here we come!!!!

vinto dal prespegnimento

Message:
Very nice Peter. It is amazing how many points we have picked up in the past few months using this critical endgame "technique". While not the preferred method of winning, the vinto dal prespegnimento can be a lethal weapon in one's chess arsenal. It is very hard to work into one's long term strategy for a game, but can strike at any time and deliver the point. Congratulations on the win, however gotten, and may there be many more wins to come.

Thanks to you, Peter, and to all the other GBHers who have expressed their appreciation and satisfaction with the new features I am bringing to the team. I know it is a lot of information, and not everyone will have time to utilize everything that is presented. It is not my intention to make grandmasters of every teammate, but rather to provide information and self-help tools that can be used as much or as little as each individual desires to allow a deeper understanding of the game that will hopefully lead to greater enjoyment of chess, friends, GameKnot and team. And if along the way we pick up some extra points as a result, that will be a great bonus. Thanks to all for your support.

Ro

In order to prove my versatility and creativity, I researched the early games of that somewhat obscure German National Champion of last century, Gewonnen durch Abschaltung, and closed another game.

Strangely, Trond used the same tactic against the same player with the same result.
