I would suggest a response such as:
Get a Reality Check, starcheck. Since I am "happily ensconced" with a team, as you suggest, why would I recommend friends to another team such as yours.
There is a traditional place to announce the formation of a new team and recruit new members - the Team Forum. You can find it here: -> gameknot.com
You may also have success by inviting non-aligned players to join your team rather than contacting "happily ensconced" teammembers.

Message:
Rampaging Ron's (Lumm) run came to and end when his goose was cooked (or cheffed) by flyerguy who is the first player to reach the last eight in the tournament.
Flyerguy will now wait on the winner of the carpe diem vs chupacubra game who will then play Trond - the winner of that Round 3 game will then meet flyerguy in the Group 2 quarter final match.

Message:
Congratulations Bounty Hunters on another successful month. Febraury was our 2nd most successful month in team history, 6th consecutive month to finish with a positive score and our 5th consecutive month to net 20 games or more!
We have added 136 to our score since August 31, 2006 and we finished the month as the 30th place team when measured by team score. Thanks to everyone for your hard work.
We completed 248 games in January, winning 130, drawing 27 and losing 91 for a net of 39 games and a 57.9% winning percentage.
32 of 42 teammates finished the month with 0 or a positive score, led by our Bounty Hunters of the Month kapablanca with +8.
Good luck to all Bounty Hunters for a successful March. As always, keep your team game maximum preference in line with your availability and let me know if there is anything I can do for you.
