When to begin?

Message:
Good question Matt. We'll need to wait until the placings of those to move up or down have been decided. Once the only games remaining are inconsequential in terms of relevant placings, I guess we could start.

Tournaments

Message:
The JH 1000 and 2000 tournaments have now been completed in terms of placings. Congratulations to Gary for winning the 2000 and to Kev for winning the 1000. With both of your birthdays in April, I hope you appreciate everyone letting you win by way of a present! ;)

The three division tournys will look like this -

JH3000
GForce
8Ball
Gez
Aaron--
Killpaul

JH2000
Naba
Cosgrove
Aitico
Ascidian
Mpauyall

JH1000
Hubb
Badger
Gingerly
Danaktivix
Herrflick

To get them going, I need two volunteers to get the JH2 and JH3 tournys going (I can only start the ones I'm in). Let me know who's happy to do that, and then we can get them going.

Also, Hugh and Kev - because you're not paid-up, you can only play one tourny at a time, so you'll need to finish off your remaining games in the last one.

JH tournies - third generation

Message:
It has never been the JH way to stagnate. We move with the times and adapt to ever changing circumstances. We're one flexible group of horse enthusiasts.

With this in mind, the tournaments have been re-branded. The name's of our three tier race are as follows -

The Jumpy Horse Gallop
The Jumpy Horse Canter
The Jumpy Horse Trot

The creative genius behind the names must be credited to the team's glass eater. Good thinking Gingerly.

If you want to keep up to date with all the latest action from the other leagues, check out the team home/profile page for the URLs.

I join Matt in crying -

I don;t know how that happened, dogged dedication to the cause I suppose plus more fortuitous timeouts.

Simply put - timeout a couple of league games and get a low rating then enter a mass of team games against lowly opponents et voila, a couple of fools mate's later and I'm top.

Hurrah!

p.s. I've never got fools mate against anyone, i'm far too cautious for that malarky and see my current no.1 ness as a blip

I read with interest in the Independent (newspaper non UK horses) an article about how when girls lose 50% more games against boys when they know it's a boy, but play as well as boys when they don't know the sex of their opponent.

Mind you it didn't go into much detail about how the players were matched or anything so...
