Subject: My comment on team ladder and proposal for new

Message:
I just wanted to make a personal comment on how I find the new ladder system...

It blows :-)
I cant find anything useful with it, and the rating system is sooo bad.
This is my teams stats so far:
18 wins
6 losses
9 draws

And we are currently at 99 position. It doesnt seem right if you ask me. I think it would have been cooler to have some sort of rating systems similar to the real leauges out there in the world.
By giving points to those who win.
Then you find some cool algorithm for the leauge so that the games you play is affected by the number of total leauge games you are playing.

For instance:
Some simple rules:
Must play x amount of leauge games to be able to win (for instance 30). Ranking is 1 , 2 and 3 place.
1 point for win
0 point for draw
-1 point for loss

There are many other stuff one can do, like say that if a team is challenging another team with 5 or more players, then winning team will get more points or something. This to prevent teams to only choose 2 players they know will have higher chance to win. And make lots of team games for them.

One could also have a team tournament very similar to gameknot tournament. That would be really awsome. Of course only teams with lots of players should enter, and then the teams can enter different rating groups, so for instance one team can enter beginner, intermediate and advance, but not the expert for instance. Then you can say that each team tournament is with 4 players or something, and the captain chooses the players he wants to play in that tournament, and gameknot automatically arranges the matchups as fairly as possible, based on the rating.

Anyways, Im just saying there are many cool ways to do this. The new ladder just really sucks, and I dont see the point of it.

Feel free to comment.
