Subject: Suggestion for altering team properties
Message: I would like to make a suggestion to gameknot for teams.
First of all, I would like if everyone from the team got a message saying a team game is finished. Because I think this makes team members care more for team games when they see and get messages saying how the different team games went.
I would also like the opportunity to give a status of co-captain, where the co-captain can create team games, or update the team however he likes. But he cannot kick or accept new members, and he cannot make new co-captains.
This feature would be great, because sometimes a captain is very busy and it will result in maintaining the team quite difficult.
How does other people feel about this?

Message: I think co-captains could be useful for some teams, but I thought that had been discussed in the past already (without results)...
I have some doubts about the finished team games messages. For some teams it would mean that you receive 30-40 of those messages per day. Maybe one message per finished team MATCH (which consists of various games)???
From another point of view, you can look those things up yourself if you're interested. Go to your team page, click on [ Active games | Past games ] on the bottom of the page. And finished team matches you can look up by clicking on the number after Team ladder rank: 139

Message: I didnt think about it like that.
Maybe there could be an option for players to receive these team messages or something?

Message: I am not in a team but I was and imagine that recieving messages everytime a game was won/lost would be extremely annoying. Not that I am against team spirit I just think that the messages would be annoying. Perhaps a monthly message with wins + loses for the team but then there is no need for a new feature as the captain can just do that...

Message: If you think it would be annoying, you dont have to read them.
You just push another link, and all the messages are marked as read.

4/01/2007 18:47:26 [ report this post ] | not a great plan to do every game
Message: Getting notification after every game would work for a small team, but what about teams like
The Fighting \/\/arriors or Black Stallion, who have 130 members apiece? If all members get a
message saying that so-and-so finished a team game every single time, then it would create a
whole lot of chaff in the inbox, and then we'd have to petition for a separate message folder to
store all of this stuff.
heinzkat's suggestion of getting a message after winning/losing a match makes much more
sense, and i would be inclined to agree with that plan. i'm pretty active in my team, and even
though our ladder standing isn't phenomenal, i would still like to know if we moved up or
down.

Message: My comment was with bigger teams in mind as parnoidyoshi has stated.
