 Subject: Captains Poll
Message:
Greetings team captains. I am seeking thoughts from other team captains of the requirements set by certain teams. I ran into a team that I could use to cover some of my team challenges. But sadly they requested that only teams with a certain rating could challenge them. Very sad. =( What do you other captains think of this? Thanks and cheers Eddie

Team ratings/ladder places SHOULD not be of any importance when declining a challenge. Yet there are several team(captain)s who feel they belong to the GameKnot 'elite' (?!) of having a 1400+ rating (not exactly sure what is required) and are therefore not accepting challenges from lower-ranked teams. Also, there are teams that do not accept from teams that have a not-so-high position on the team ladder.
Let them. We cannot be bothered challenging them anyway :-)
By the way, notice that my team is 'discriminating' as well - we do not accept challenges from such teams either. So we happily participate in this hypocrisy! :)))

indeed , Team Ladder is a FARCE! a very manipulative way to claim recognition as a great team over and above all others ...furthermore , I couldn't agree more about this "elite" GK status or whatever... I'd also like to add and/or suggest those captains to "get a grip on reality" ...thus my team or I do not ignore any team captain or it's team from challenging , regardless of how silly acting those captains are....
IT'S JUST A GAME!!! :) LET'S HAVE FUN (even when we lose)
The only request I have is ...if I and /or we are challenging yours ...is an A.S.P. response ...with NO REASON and/or NEGATIVE COMMENT why u declined ...if u
declined.

There is a reward for being a "elite-ladder" or "elite-rank" team?
In my opinion, team ranking/ratings are the most useless thing in this site. So, why worry with it?

To all of the team captains that have responded. And thank you to all that have sent me PM's. Surely it is sad that such teams have resorted to such restrictions that only benefit there selfs. It is nice to know that there are such teams out there that I can rely on for team matches regardless of restrictions. Thank you to all Cheers Eddie

As far as I've seen, a team's rating can rise and fall DAILY. So being near the "top" really doesn't mean all that much. I don't look at a team's over-all rating. I look at players and what each one is doing and how many games they have. I also look at the size of a team. I team with 50 or more players and has a 1300 rating I think is stronger than a two player team who has a 1700.
