Subject: to all captains: green light

Message:
players, who wants to make a break with team games, have the opportunity to set the time control to 10 or 14 days. then he appears as "not available" for the according team captains. but in the team profile, the green light of those players who makes a break is still on, telling other captains that he would be available. we have to decline a lot of team challenges because of this problem, what might appear as strange. this is the explication for this!

Julia

ps for the webmaster: maybe its possible to correct it, thank you.

Good tip

Message:
I've never considered using the automatic challenge decline rules, set to 7 days +, as a way for the players refrain from team games. That sound handy, even with green dot in the team profile. But I agree it would be good to fix this.

Of course, it would be even better if the captain could just set a player completely unavailable.

Regards,
MaCa.

Yes,

Message:
I think I might have sent feedback about this before, and really this little problem should be able to be 'fixed' easily. Also, I still wonder why you cannot set '0' as the maximum of team games in your preferences?! Shouldn't be too difficult.

A tip might be setting 'Max currently active games for you:' to zero on this page: gameknot.com (but I hear this is only possible for premium subscribers)

Captain

Message:
The captain knows which players are available and should therefore be able to turn off the green dot if they wish.

It would save other captains time.

the captain doesnt have any influence on the green lights, thats only each player him/herself. the problem is, that a player appears as not available for the captain and as available for other team captains. they cannot see this. following your proposition, a captain of a team would have to compare all players in question with the green lights and tell somewhere, that they are not available. the availability of players also change quite often, so that would be a lot of work to do!

I'll second this

Message:
It would be great to have a way of turning off the green light. I have had to decline a lot of matches this Summer due to people being on vacation but their green light still shows to other captains.
