 Subject: intra-team or inter-team?
Message:
Are teams intended for intra-team or inter-team play? I'm thinking of starting a team so my co-workers can play each other in an organized manner. Are teams appropriate for this?

Teams are set up for inter-team play. Within the team, of course the members communicate with each other (private team forums are inaccessible for "outsiders") and may play each other too.
Clubs are maybe better for 'intra-club" play (see for example the competition tables,  gameknot.com).
But perhaps the function you are searching for is "invitation only" mini-tournaments => gameknot.com. In a mini-tournament, every player plays twice with all other participants.
