PLAYER SEARCH SUGGESTION ... This would make it so much easier to find old Postal Chess & Tournament friends online ... at least for those who do include part of their real name in their profile. What do you think, everyone ? ************************* |

moniker searchSuch a tool would help those of us who value their work 1) to learn that they are actually here among us; and then 2) to let them know that we enjoy, respect, and benefit from what they have achieved. |

very good points Shamash ... Of course, if it IS on the profile, then they have already made it "public" here. However, only what they put on the profile as name that would be searched. So if they did not put their real name, and chose to use their Chess playing pseudonym instead, then that is all that would show up. Like then it would only show me as GM Kotov, not CA Collister. ok? Oh, I blew it didn't I ... Well see my next book. "Swim Like A Grandmaster, Conquering The Bering Strait With Tree Analysis". |

Too...too, that is. That would be somewhat paranoid, however. |

Am I asking too much?Another thing that I would like to see is a database of inactive players where we can search instead of just deleting them after they're inactive for a period of time. I personally like looking at the history of the website (including my old accounts) but deleting inactive players kind of hinders that. I would love to use my old accounts if they didn't delete them but to my dismay they do. Also they're real big about only having one account and so if you think about it they actually kind of make it hard to do that with their current policy of deleting players. (I do know it's because of how it's programed and the space it saves but I'm just saying) Anyways I'll save my rambling for next time Regards, Jeremy |
