A game since Jan,3 2012for one game that started since January,3,2012 with 32 moves only. This is absurd for a game to take 8 months. I need the GK 's permission to remove as soon as possible and to delete the team's name. The outcome of this game has no importance anymore for anyone. |

And thats not adding in non move weekends(2 more days every week) where you clock stops and is the case many times! And be glad it was only 32 moves! An average game takes usually more than 32 moves...closer to 50-60 moves. My calculations show it should have finished in 5 to 6 months,if there were no conditional moves, one move per 5 days played and perhaps a little vacation T.O's.But if one move average was made per week and no or very little moves on the weekend...thats one move week x 32 moves=32 weeks= 7.2 months! So thats what had to happen.Apparently, there had to be some team delay in that game, with either T.O's and/or approx one move per week taken approx to add a few weeks equaling 8 months. Thats only one of the 5 reasons I do not join teams.I only play 2 or 3 day settings 99% of the time.mlazars game has like 14 days per move, which can easily take years to finish! No way would I even dream of taking a game with 14 days per move, even if it was a hundred games and I knew I would win every one to place my rating on the top of the GK rating list!To me even 4 days is way too long.I need to finish a game before my will kicks in,or my beard grows down to my feet 5 feet below my chin! |

unfair rulePlayers postpone games on high numbers of occasions with no justified reasons on the same game. GK should look carefully on this rule. Thank you guys for your posts. |

thank youThe irony is : this Jan,3,2012 game doesn't have any effect on my team ( which is no longer active for more than 6 months ). This is unbelievable. |

Regarding the game postponements: while it would be ideal if everyone was available to play their chess games every single day, 365 days per year, without exception, alas that's not how the world works. Postponements are part of any chess game that takes more than 10 minutes to finish. We do have several limitations in place to prevent the abuse of the game postponements.
