Interesting loophole in timeout ratings
Normally, you don't get rating points if your opponent times out without making a move. However, it turns out that you can if it's a thematic tournament game and the first few moves have already been made (White has to make their third move).

I am playing in a thematic tournament where the set moves are 1.e4 e6 2.d4 d5. One of my opponents never made a move as Black, and timed out. I got no rating points. I immediately was then assigned to play the same opponent as White. I made the move 3.Nc3. My opponent never moved, timed out three days later, and I got the rating points.

Interesting...

Yes, I believe this is an oversight by GK, but to even things out, I propose that for winning a game after 0 moves still the "winner" should be awarded the rating points!!

The main argument for that is that the difference in who gets rating points is an inherently deflationary force on the ratings system, but it seems to be sufficiently balanced out at the moment by the influx of new players. I don't feel like I deserve rating points for making one move. Of course I'll take them, but I'd prefer to earn them.
