..A very simple suggestion to study..
..my suggestion is very simple but i think that it will add something attractive to our dear members & to the site without adding a load on the server..

..well i suggest to put the flag of the player country beside his name ..this is founded in all other web sites & i think our dear members will love that..

..ALL THE BEST ..

Why?
Yes, a flag would be easy, but why is it useful or important?

Whilest GK is known as
"The cutting edge of online blitz servers" ... unfortunately to maintain this lofty status, the blitz area is only linked to the mainsite loosely and it could be difficult to carry player info across to a little Personal-up-pop like we can get here on mainsite. At least as I have heard it. The player tags have been mentioned before in that context and never yet happened anyway.

The flag idea I think sounds very doable as I (Mr Last Man in the neighborhood to own a computer, and maybe shouldnt ...) dont see the difference between that and putting the pawns by names. But the Why Question remains since the flags are now available to put onto our Profile pages. And there is the option that your "AVATAR" image could be used to Include a flag by all who want one showing?! Just a thought. Would that work out?

chess has no borders... flags represent countries that do...

I believe it is possible to take any topic on this forum and morph it into a Blitz discussion, since it's such a hot-button issue around here! ccmcacollister's comment about Blitz being "loosely connected" and so direct is perhaps its most (and perhaps only) charming feature. GK's Blitz is like a '67 VW Beetle (if you've ever known the joy of owning one you'll know what I mean!).

Of course the castling bug and 3-rep "feature" are annoying at times, but I like the informal feel. I would like, however, to see an opponent's ratings for the same reason's stated by the Abyss.

..try to visit this free site..
..there is a very simple free site called www.chessk-nights.com ...this site is nothing if compaired with GK ..the only thing which is very attracting in this site is the flag of your country moving beside your name (you feel it alive & moving by winds)

...really very simple ..but very beatifull & attracting ... just try to see this by your own eyes to be able to understand me ...you will not lose anything  ) to examine this feature..

..i really know that this feature is not serious ..or important ..& there re no borders in chess ...but trying to make your honme more beatiful is also important ..

Already possible
We are certainly not going to stop anyone from setting their account's avatar picture to their country flag, if they wish to.
