Gameknot not accessible

I leave in China and Gameknot has always been very fast to access but for the last few days the website is impossible to see. I thought it was down for maintenance, but I used TOR today and it does work... (lucky I had the emergency postponement option ON)

I read somewhere there's another address to access gameknot. I'd like to try that other one instead of using TOR each time.

If GameKnot.com fails...

You'll definitely find access via chesscolony.com; as said a few times before, I am not sure why this is -- gameknot.com was never a problem a few years ago, but during the last year it has become an (almost daily) issue.

Isn't it location dependent? Here in USA I have never seen GK.com down since that single DOS attack day!? I have heard from others too tho, better access to Chesscolony in Netherlands, than to GK.
I am thinking there is perhaps a site emphasis "per country" played from ?

The thing is...

That when GameKnot is working, Chesscolony usually isn't!

ok ok ...so much for my statement of support

re GK USA ... I just now reload the site, after being advised it is 'sorry to be down for maintenance for 20-30 minutes' ~!

Not that I'm complaining about a little downtime; remarkably little. Much less than any other Chess site I've used frequently, in fact. I'm just saying ... did it HAVE to be the very same day I just claimed it Never Happens !?!!

The maintenance downtimes usually are on Saturday 23:00 GK time indeed. When I am usually vast asleep
