Options for starting a new game

Hi folks

When starting a new game, there is an option to specify no minimum rating for your opponent but you must specify a maximum rating. Does anyone know the reasoning behind this?

I think there is no specific reason except that it was made like that, years ago. Send feedback and it might be changed?

Thanks. I suppose an opponent with a max rating of 2200 is enough for me at this stage!
